PAP recognizes PACJA's Mithika MWENDA

The Pan-African Parliament has honored Mr. Mithika MWENDA for being recognized as one of the 100 most influential persons in the climate change discourse, worldwide.

Mr. Mwenda is the Executive Director of the Pan-African Climate Justice Alliance (PACJA), a Civil Society Organisation that recently forged a partnership with the PAP. He was celebrated at the sitting of the Permanent Committees of the fifth Parliament.

Chairperson of the East African Regional Caucus, Hon. Janet ONG’ERA, as well as the Chairperson of the Committee on Rural Economy, Agriculture, Environment and Natural Resources Hon. Kone DOGNON expressed delight saying PAP took pride in associating with such greatness.

Expressing his gratitude, the recipient encouraged stakeholders to live an indelible mark as a lifetime legacy.

"It is not just an honor for me as a person but for the organization as some of the work being recognized includes that which I have done with and for the PAP. This acknowledgement has encouraged me and PACJA to do more in our attempt to deliver the ACLI agenda so that we leave our mark when we depart from this planet," Mr. Mwenda said.
